De Zerbi thinks Arsenal are lucky to be top

Brighton boss has had a blunt jibe at Arsenal after his side's defeat at home

Arsenal defeated Brighton 4-2 on Saturday to increase their lead over Manchester City to seven point.

City had previously failed to earn a point, instead drawing 1-1 against Everton at home. This became an incentive for Arsenal to travel to the south coast and collect another victory.

Odegaard's performance inspired his team to victory at the Amex. Mikel Arteta's team have accumulated 43 points from a possible 48 in the first 16 matches of the season.

This places them in fifth place in the best starts to a season at this point in Premier League. De Zerbi acknowledges that luck has been involved, but also stated that it's something teams need to have in order to win a title.

I'm very happy for the victory, but I'm also sad because we lost a player.

The Brighton boss said in his post-match: "Arsenal have fantastic players, a fantastic coach. I think they are lucky in this moment but to win the Premier League, you sometimes have to be lucky.

"For Arsenal, Arteta can answer better than me. I think they scored goals in crucial moments."
